Loupe is created by the Shape Collage team. Shape Collage, an automatic photo collage maker, has desktop (Windows, Mac, and Linux), iPhone, and iPad apps with over five million downloads. The software automatically creates photo collages in different shapes using its patent pending technology. Shape Collage was founded by Vincent Cheung in 2009.

Vincent did his PhD in Computer Engineering at the University of Toronto, specializing in Machine Learning and Computer Vision, and did his undergrad in Computer Engineering at the University of Manitoba, graduating at the top of his class. Vincent has previously worked at Google and Microsoft Research. In 2010, he was crowned the EO Graduate Student Entrepreneur Global Champion. When Vincent isn't on a computer, he can usually be found playing volleyball, snowboarding, rollerblading, traveling, or playing with his cat.

Mike holds three degress in Computer Science, the most recent a PhD specializing in Human-computer Interaction from the University of Toronto. He has previously worked at IBM Research, Mitsubishi Electric Research Labs, Electronic Arts, Radical Entertainment, and the University of British Columbia. He has been granted two patents and has published over a dozen academic articles on topics ranging from mobile devices, novel interaction techniques, collaboration technologies, memory aids, assistive technologies, and educational games for children. In his free time he can be found on a hardwood, grass, sand, or cement volleyball court.

Chris graduated from Ryerson University in Toronto with a BSc in Computer Science. Prior to joining Loupe he worked on another start-up based out of the Digital Media Zone at Ryerson. Chris loves music, running and can often be found cycling aimlessly around the city.


Halley Cheung

Halley is a visual communicator who creates visual playfulness and easy to use interfaces for his audiences. Before studying design at the Vancouver Film School's Visual Arts and Foundation and Digital Design program, he attended Simon Fraser University and graduated with a degree in psychology focusing in child development. Now as a Graphic Designer, he continues to find ways to apply his understanding of psychology to the design process. Halley is also a Typographer, Communication, Interactive and Motion designer, a hockey player, a HUGE fan of the Vancouver Canucks and a shoe collector.
